WHO IS MIKEY?

Mikey is a 28-year-old young man with Level 3 autism, who currently lives in a group home in Michigan. Mikey enjoys car rides, swimming, trampolines, basketball, and creating his own recipes. Like many others in his position, he aged out of school in his early 20s and was deemed “too severe” to be a part of many special needs social activities and educational programs. Mikey is very loved by his family, but otherwise, is often forgotten about.

Mikey’s Hope exists to give everyone of all abilities an opportunity to be intentionally included and accommodated in all aspects of life, and to have a genuine sense of belonging.
